Leonie has known something of Pilgrims’ Friend Society all her life. Her parents are long-time supporters and her father, Bryan Jarvis, was a trustee for many years. She remembers visiting the homes as a child.
Being around older people from a young age influenced her decision to become as a nurse. She has also worked in women’s ministry. Her current role is with Christian charity CARE as OPEN (GB) Consultant, supporting churches in caring for women who have had an abortion or experienced baby loss.
As well as sitting on the board at Pilgrims’ Friend Society, Leonie is part of our care and housing health and safety subcommittee. As a trustee, Leonie aims to be a trusted friend, drawing on her experience where she can.
Leonie lives in southwest Norfolk with her husband, Matt. To relax, she loves making pottery and has her own potter’s wheel.
