Julie joined Pilgrims' Friend Society in 2023 and is the Registered Care Manager at Emmaus House, Whitehaven. With over 40 years of experience in the care sector, she has worked across a range of residential and dementia care settings and is passionate about creating a warm, supportive environment for both residents and staff.
Julie first joined Emmaus House Whitehaven as a stand in manager and became Registered Care Manager for the home in 2025. She is committed to improving community engagement, strengthening links with local churches, and enhancing the wellbeing and quality of life of those who live in the home.
Outside of work, Julie has an adult daughter and enjoys walking, gardening, theatre trips, and spending time outdoors in the beautiful Cumbrian landscape she has always called home.
