Leena joined Pilgrims’ Friend Society as Operations Manager in 2025. Her career in care began at the age of 17, and she has always enjoyed working with older people. After training as a Public Health nurse in Finland, she moved to the UK nearly 30 years ago and has since worked across a range of nursing fields, including neurology, rheumatology, and clinical development, as well as managing residential and nursing homes.
Leena has been a committed Christian from an early age, and her faith motivates her to provide excellent care for those who live in Pilgrims’ Friend Society's homes and housing schemes. She especially values beginning each working day with prayer alongside her colleagues.
Outside of work, Leena enjoys spending time with her husband Reuben, their two grown-up children. She also loves walking in nature, gardening, and creating art. Before beginning her nursing career, she trained as a potter, a skill she still treasures.
